The city of Pompeii was an ancient Roman town-city near modern Naples in the Italian region of Campania, in the territory of the comune of Pompei. Dr Estelle Lazer has spent the last three decades getting to know Pompeii’s dead. Now, new technology promises to reveal even more about the ancient population she has tirelessly worked to bring to life.
